This thangka was hand-painted in Nepal by a master thangka painter. This thangka is 32 inches long and 22 inches wide inside the brocade frame, and the painting alone is 14 inches long and 10.5 inches wide. This thangka features Avalokiteshvara with 1,000 arms. Avalokitesvara is a form of Chenrezig, who has 1,000 arms because her arms were split while trying to help the sentient beings in the world and end their suffering, and has many heads for the same reason. This painting is mounted inside a beautiful brocade frame.
