Tibetan singing bowls come in two basic styles, hand-hammered and cast. The singing bowls in our brown singing bowls section are cast singing bowls. They are made and then painted brown. Each singing bowl in this section has a design or a mantra painted around the outside of the singing bowl. Sometimes there is also a raised metal pattern on the inside of the bowl. This raised pattern will be in the form of five Buddhas, the double dorje symbol, the eight auspicious symbols, etc., and it is helpful to have this design because it weights down the singing bowl and helps it stay steady on the cushion. Our brown singing bowls are a popular style of singing bowls.
