This mala is made from yak bone beads on a cotton cord. This mala is known as a medicine mala because it has a turquoise and coral inlay, and because there is also a copper, brass, and silver inlay in the beads. Brass, copper, and silver are known as the tree healing metals, and they have healing properties when combined. Turquoise and coral are also healing gemstones that protect from ilness and promote health. The beads on this mala are each 10 mm wide, and there are 108 beads on this mala. There is a large guru bead with turquoise inlay on the end of the mala. This mala was handmade in Nepal.
